OUR VISION
We at The Kickback are a fresh events company targeting Black and Mixed Heritage professionals in London.
We have a clear vision of what we want to build in this world; we imagine a world where young professional people can be authentic, connect and have fun with new like-minded people at a social event beyond the typical nightclub.
Everything we do is helping to build that world, from connecting single Black men and Single Black women to making a space for Black professionals in London and around the world.
OUR MISSION
The Kickback is a full-service Event Management Company dedicated to creating unforgettable events for a wide range of Black and Mixed Heritage Professionals. We combine seasoned knowledge with inspiration and ingenuity, transforming venues and providing our guests with truly unique experiences. Our Mission is simple - unique experiences for a unique crowd.
In 2022 we changed our direction and focused on expanding into community outreach, media and corporate events management. Since January 2023 our team is set to expand and our reach stretch beyond the English channels.
HISTORY
We have existed since 2013 when our founder felt there was a gap missing in a market for a laid back social night that didn't consist of parties, racist door policies and potential violence. So Lela's Lounge was born an alternative social events company. Initially starting with only speed dating events, we branched out into various networking and social events. With 43 marriages under our belt, we are proud to say we have made a difference in our community.
Since our beginnings 10 years ago over 40,000 young professionals have walked through our doors we have collaborated with some amazing brands such as Grenada Tourism Authority and have curated events in some of London's high-class venues such as The Fine Line, The Alice, Balls Brother's Adams Court to name a few.
At the start of 2017, we decided it was time for newness and so we evolved into "The Kickback". The Kickback is an alternative experience for young urban professionals wanting to enhance their social life. Although currently based in London we have our eyes set on the world, there are no limits to what we can do.
Now in 2024, after nearly a decade of hosting and organising 500+ successful events - we have now expanding into new avenues; and this is only the beginning.
